"he shouldn't type this late."



the go inside and it begins

to rain as

3 gun shots sound half a block

away and

one of the skyscrapers in

downtown L.A. begins

burning

25 foot flames licking toward

doom.

Good stuff.

Have you seen the movie Factotum, Dr. Z? It's based on a novel by Bukowski, and the lead character (played by Matt Dillon) is a thinly-veiled version of the author.

No, The only Bukowski movie I was aware of was Barfly. Randy used to rave about it. He's the one that turned me on to Bukowski back in the early 90's

This poem is a little bit unconventional, as well as the writer (GW Hutson). It's a poem about an old car. But, yeah, I love this poem lots.
