So I've always known FC Dallas as what it used to be called before sometime 2004 which is the Dallas Burn. Makes sense right? They're a soccer team from Dallas, TX with the logo of a horse (possibly a mustang) spitting fire from its mouth (thus the "burn" part). Anyone know why they changed it to FC Dallas? Their new logo looks like some kind of silly cattle IMO. I know its supposed to be a bull but it just doesn't look as fierce.

There's a soccer team in Dallas? The last team I knew of was the Sidekicks and I haven't heard anything about them in years.

It's a bit off topic, but who was that Sidekicks player who used to take his shirt off and run around? I remember him getting a fair amount of coverage in the DFW area.

That makes sense, now. I noticed people called them FC Dallas sometimes, but I just assumed that was an alternate name for the Burn. (You know, like FC Dallas Burn or something like that.) I never knew what the correct name was, since I didn't know they changed it somewhere along the way.

My guess is they changed it from Dallas Burn (which sounds like an American sports franchise) to FC Dallas, so it would sound more like a European soccer franchise. Guess they didn't want to copy DC United when it copied Manchester United, and I guess FC Dallas sounded better (and certainly made more sense) than Real Dallas or Inter Dallas.
