The UEFA has rejected the latest attempt by Real Madrid to register their new signings Lassana Diarra and Klaas Jan Huntelaar in time for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

According to the rules, only one of the players can take part when the games resume in February. Real is not giving up, however, and say they are prepared to take it all the way to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
