Default Hangover Remedies

Talk about your favorite hangover remedies here.

For me, nothing beats sleeping until I feel better, but not everyone has that luxury. When I used to have to go to an office the next morning, I always focused on having bacon and eggs, coffee, and gatorade.

How about you?

I go through asian cleansing with a large cup of green tea and 16 pieces of tuna/salmon sashimi dipped in soy sauce with plenty of wasabi. I think the key for me is getting enough wasabi in the mix that you feel its effects up your nostrils. If it don't make you sober it sure will wake you up.

When I used to HAVE hangovers (I'm 74 days sober today) it would go something like this:

At wakeup: gigantic salty Tex-mex meal, two ibuprofen, two or three skinny joints of high grade marijuana

Nap

At second wakeup: any Humphrey Bogart movie (preferably Key Largo) and repeat the initial step

Course, I wouldn't recommend this method to anyone trying to get anything accomplished. Also, don't do drugs, mmkay?

I had my first one ever this week. I haven't had a drink in a few years and wanted on. I guess it didn't agree with my lap band. My remedy was water and sleeping. It took almost 36 hours to recover off of a shot and a mixed drink. I am such a lightweight now.

After drinking an alcoholic drink, make sure that the next one is non-alcoholic (water is best). Rotating like this while drinkinig will keep you from becoming dehydrated (which generally causes most hangover problems).

Angostura bitters can go well in a Bloody Mary too. For the kids tummy aches, a Virgin Mary will do (just skip the alcohol and maybe make it less spicy). It helps open their appetite for food too.

I usually just lie down and sleep until i feel better . I get dehydrated in the morning , so i just drink a lot of water . Helps to release out all thee toxins and alcohol from the body . After that i usually go take a bath ( freshens me up big time ) !
