I always find it interesting to hear what kind of cars people have owned (yes, I'm easily amused). Below, just make a list.
I'll get it started: 1. Nissan ___ (Can't remember, dammit. It was small, silver/gray and talked. My first car.) 2. Ford Mustang (5 liter engine) 3. Pontiac Grand Am 4. Buick La Sabre That's all for me. How about you?

[quote=Oldboy;744]Did it also come with a has-been actor who kept getting drunk and tried (unsuccessfully) to eat a hamburger?

1. '72 Chevy - 3-speed on the tree. All my siblings got the same truck as the starter vehicle, so it was well-used by the time I got my hands on it. My friends called it the "White Shadow".
2. '85 GMC Jimmy - Navy Blue - Never "my" vehicle, but I got the use of it on dates, special occasions and trips out of town. Kind of 1a on my first car. 3. 80-something Chevy Cavalier - White - Little car. Hand-me-down from my sister. I drove this my first year in college. 4. '85 Chevy Blazer - Blue and Silver - Used car. Exactly like the Jimmy, except it was a Chevy. This was the car I drove through the next several years. 5. Late-80's Chevy Pickup - Red/Beige (I think. Kind of color blind.) - Used. Only had it for a few months, from what I remember. Turns out the used car dealership it was bought at was buying stolen vehicles and reselling them, so it became part of the "evidence". Have no idea what ever happened to the people who owned the dealership. Probably prison, I'm guessing. What a mess. 6. '91 Honda Civic - Navy Blue - User car. Early on, I drove this to South Padre Island with a bunch of friends and somehow we ended up driving down the beach on one end of the island. I don't think that was good for the car, getting sand and salt or whatever in the car, so it started causing problems for it at around 145,000. Maybe the person who had it before me ragged it out. By 170,000 miles, it seemed like I was spending more on repairs than I would on car payments. Still, a great car, and I went right back to the Honda on my next buy. 7. 2001 White Honda - My current car. I'm thinking of buying a new car sometimes in the near future, but I frankly enjoy having a car paid for and my Honda is still running strong after 8 or so years. Knock on wood, but I've only had to replace an air conditioner and that's pretty much it for big repairs. Being "Big America", I guess I should be buying American, but I think Honda puts out a great product and since I don't want to spend a bunch of money to be stranded on the side of the road, I go with what I think is the best bargain for the money. |

That's how I feel about Nissan but maybe my next car will be American. I really like the new Camaro or the Solstice.
