She endorsed a book by a guy named Herman Rosenblat about the Holocaust that turned out to be another hoax.
Oprah hoax is no Angel at the Gate |

There's no excuses on this one, either. I mean, really, how gullible is she?
Apparently, this guy claims that when he was in a Nazi concentration camp (which was true), that he fell in love with this woman who would sneak him food through the fence. Ten years later, the two met on a blind date in New York City, and have been married ever since. Someone pointed out the common sense notion that no woman would get close enough to sneak food to a prisoner, because the Nazi guards would have shot her down with machine-gun fire. Tsk, tsk, Oprah. |

The sad thing is that none of her producers checked any of this out before hand. If you have a celebrity talk show, how much does Oprah actually get to research herself? Probably just takes everyone's word for it.

I imagine you're right. Besides, she's too busy personally hiding free stuff under the studio seats.

Yeah, you're right. She's a billionaire. I imagine her time is spent fiddling with "the big picture" and someone's very job is researching this kind of stuff. I wonder if heads roll at Oprahland when this stuff happens?
