According to the Wrestling Observer website:

"A publicist for Mickey Rourke last night sent an e-mail out saying Rourke would not be participating in this year's Wrestlemania as was planned.

This could be simply a way to insure that his possible participation in the show, where he was scheduled to face Chris Jericho and have Ric Flair in his corner, would not hurt him in the Oscars voting. One person close to the situation was told yesterday that the match is off."


Too bad. That might have been pretty entertaining. I'd especially love to see Ric Flair and Mickey Rourke do some promos together. That would have been comedy gold.
